Music...All Day, Every Day
One of the things I try to incorporate into my classroom is music. Being a universal language, I try to have it surround my students on a daily basis. When they walk into the classroom, music is playing and the LED lights are flashing; everyone is having a good time. This music also acts as a good classroom management tool because the students know that by the time the song ends, they need to be in their seats, quietly copying down the agenda for the day.

One of my favorite things to do is to remix popular songs and put them to historically relevant content. A popular one among my students is the song about Ancient India that was remixed to the instrumental of "That's What I Like" by Bruno Mars. I have also been known to make raps about teaching and put them on my Instagram, much to the amusement of my students.

A rap I did, at the beginning of the 2017 - 2018 school year, to try to keep the students from my internship (Class of 2020) focused and on the right path.
